Mike LaVecchia is the founder of Grain Surfboards. Grain designs and builds wooden surfboards and surfboard kits using sustainably harvested wood products in York, Maine. The company is dedicated to the promotion of wooden surfboards as a better alternative to environmentally harmful foam surfboards. Grain strives to reduce the environmental impact of its business through creative recycling of waste, the use of sustainable materials and operational efficiency.
