This is just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to Mindy Weimer's dedication, vision and tireless effort we witnessed when we met Mindy last spring in Jakarta.
We consider ourselves exceedingly fortunate to have stumbled upon Mindy and we are so proud to sell the products craftspeople from one of her water programs makes from trash. They are made by Pak Haris and when Mindy brought us to the Tenjung Priok to meet with him, we saw first hand the dramatic impact Mindy's water program has had within these often overlooked communities.
I should mention, the very first time I met Mindy was in passing. It was early January 2006 in Jakarta and I was introduced to her as she was leaving to volunteer for a UN Program in Sumatra just after the tsunami hit.
