Matthew Della Valle Is the Founder & Executive Director Of Technology For People Group Inc. Who's Mission is to * To bridge the digital divide by distributing fully functional, internet capable computers to low income families, individuals, charities and other organizations here in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador and in future the rest of Atlantic Canada and beyond. * To promote & educate adults, children & teens 3-18 years old proper internet know how edicate & safety. * To stem the flow of reusable computer hardware, software, parts and software guides and eventually other electronic products from ending up in the landfills of our community & province and to do our part in the fight against global warming to recycle, refurbish and reuse as many components whenever possible to help protect the natural beauty of the planet, the province and the nation as a whole. * To promote education in the home environment of low-income families and individuals through the use of computers and educational software. * To promote employment, work ethic, empowerment and self-sufficiency by way of transferable skills for youths and adult's entering and re-entering the work force. * To educate the general public about the e-waste problem, its dangers, and solutions * To assist the powers that be, in all three levels of government to create a comprehensive e-waste recycling, refurbishing and reuse infrastructure municipally, provincially and federally. * To continue to conduct research into better recycling, refurbishing, and reuse methods and put them into practice as advances are made and discovered. * To promote computer literacy in the community at large through TFPG INC. hosted information sessions and instruction. * To work closely and partner with community groups, non-governmental organizations (NGO'S) governments, educational institutions and families, individuals, domestic and international corporations and businesses who can demonstrate corporate social, community and environmental responsibility within the countries and communities they operate in. * To help stop the flow of computer components and other Forms Of E -Waste that are unusable from ending up in developing countries where they are causing damage to people and their environment through unsafe recycling practices.
