It may be daunting...but it CAN be done: http://www.skewray.com/alfa/ I was thinking, that guy could be a good brain to pick when it comes to specifics on the Alfa Spyder. Weren't you talking about getting an EV-conversion kit? Why not post some details of that here... I saw that there are conversion kits for Porche Spyders....not knowing a thing about them...is there enough similarity that they could be useful?
