  • I know exactly what you are saying. But please trust me, it's not really because you're young, it's just the way people are. Most people would still reject you if you were older, they would just have a different attitude or excuse for ignoring you. I see it as a sort of defensive mechanism. An abstracted layer from a survival mechanism. So, for example, if I try to tell people they have to give up their (gasoline/diesel powered) car or motorcycle, lawn mower, leaf blower, etc. because of global warming, I run into a vast array of "don't listen to me" type things. But it's just because they don't want to have to change, to think, to make an effort, out of fear of a loss of how good things are going now (based on my greed-ego principle). To me it's just a big wall of "sheeple", and the way they/we are raised (technically brainwashed) to be. You are doing the right thing, and should not stop. If more people did what you are doing, things would change a lot faster. But the situation is very complex, as is the human animal. Solutions will be very complex to global warming and other problems facing us (like war, poverty). I hope you will tune into and stay tuned to my project, as I start getting it set up here on changents, and review my content periodically on my site. www.fej.org (mostly about the project and the fej.org community starting up soon) and my more direct thoughts and ideas are in www.fej.org/members/Fejj. In time, the project I am working on should provide you more tools to work with, and new methods to more efficiently accomplish your goals. Hang in there, and keep chipping away at the wall. And when you meet with resistance, look for other paths, don't just keep fighting the resistance. that is to say... Don't get frustrated, when you get a no, or negative attitude, be grateful (for their time and the chance they *might have* listened to you), and move on. Keep looking for the yes, the "hmmm", the "tell me more".... (I recommend this, as I believe this approach to be a much more effective effort/solution.) Thanks for your efforts.
